‘Bay Days’ camps offer kids interactive experiences

Weeklong Sessions Teach Youngsters About Local Waters

The Long Island Maritime Museum is gearing up for this summer’s ‘Bay Days’ starting July 5 and running through the week of Aug. 21.

These weekly sessions provide a fun yet educational experience for children ages 6 through 11.

From drop-off at 9 am, to pick up at 2 pm, kids will be engaged in interactive experience exploring Long Island’s maritime habits around the Great South Bay.

A typical week includes field trips that will bring out the adventurous side of your little one, the opportunity to encounter a variety of plants and animals living in our local waters, and much more.

Philip Berdolt, Commissioner of Suffolk County Parks, said, “These sessions are a great opportunity for our kids to learn about what is living in the waters around them and to help spread awareness to the community.”
