Brookhaven Councilman Dan Panico announces ‘Chess in the Park’ during annual fall festival

Brookhaven Councilman Dan Panico invites individuals who attend the Annual Chamber of Commerce of the Moriches’ Fall Fair, being held on Saturday, October 21 from 9 am to 5 pm, along Main Street in downtown Center Moriches, to stop by Bank Street Park for a friendly game of speed chess.

Councilman Panico will have an informational table set up in front of Bank Street Park for the duration of the fair, but between the hours of 11 am and 1 pm, will be available to play speed chess with his constituents at built-in chess tables located inside the park.

An avid chess player, Councilman Panico said, “This is a great opportunity to meet one-on-one with constituents in my district, while enjoying a good, albeit short, game of chess.”
