Legis. Rudy Sunderman joined with Service Unit 48 Brownie Troop 1713 for a special meeting of cocoa and cake on Nov. 13. “This was a great opportunity for me to sit down with these bright young girls to discuss local government and my role as legislator,” said Sunderman. The meeting took place at William Floyd Elementary School and the Brownies engaged the legislator in important discussions to gain a better understanding of his job and everyday life. “Being able to sit with our future leaders and discuss everyday struggles and how to improve our community is one of the best parts of my job as legislator,” he added. If there are any other groups who would like Sunderman to speak about his role in government or any other topics of interest, please feel free to contact his office at 631-852-1300.
