District celebrates 283rd birthday of William Floyd

The William Floyd School District recently celebrated the 283rd birthday of William Floyd, the district namesake and one of only 56 men to sign the Declaration of Independence. In what has become an annual tradition now in its eighth year, students and staff from all across the school district commemorated the life and legacy of Mr. Floyd with special events and activities focused on this year’s theme of perseverance.
