Twenty diversely talented high school seniors were selected as Scholar-Artists from among the top students in Nassau and Suffolk counties.

Created and sponsored by the Long Island Arts Association, the Long Island Scholar-Artist award program recognizes students judged to be “the best of the best” on Long Island in both academics and in the arts. Honorees are selected based on a demonstration of excellence in the arts established by a portfolio of their work, a demonstration of excellence in academic achievement and submission of an essay on how the arts have enriched the life of the student.
