Police: Man arrested during execution of search warrant, drugs and cash seized

Suffolk County Police arrested a man and seized large amounts of drugs and cash following the execution of a search warrant at a residence in Mastic.

Seventh Squad detectives executed a search warrant at 30 Pawnee Ave., and seized a kilo of cocaine, more than $8,000 cash, a 20-gauge shotgun, a stun gun, marijuana, five bottles of steroids, a scale and packaging materials.

Patrick O’Brien, 43, of 30 Pawnee Ave., was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, two counts Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree and Criminal Possession of Marijuana 5th Degree.

O’Brien will be held overnight at the Seventh Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on June 29.

A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
