Police seek information on Shirley shooting

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Seventh Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the person or people involved in a shooting that injured two men in Shirley earlier this year.

Police seek information on Shirley shootingTwo men were shot on Puritan Lane on August 19 at approximately 10:40 pm. One man was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries and the second man was transported by ground to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The suspect or suspects were in a white two-door Mercedes Benz convertible at the time of the shooting.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
