Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone and the Suffolk County Office of Women’s Services are calling on County residents to nominate candidates for the prestigious Suffolk County Women’s Hall of Fame, beginning March 20 through June 1, 2017.  In its 17th year, the Women’s Hall of Fame recognizes the accomplishments of women that have worked tirelessly to make Suffolk County a better place for all residents. This year’s inductees will join a group of 29 outstanding women who have been enshrined into the Hall of Fame.

Inductees to the Class of 2017 Women’s Hall of Fame will be honored for their services to the community and acknowledged for being an inspiration to future generations. Suffolk County’s Office of Women’s Services will host a celebration and event of public recognition in the month of September.

“We are honored to once again open the nomination for the Suffolk County Women’s Hall of Fame as we honor those individuals that have made contributions to their community,” said County Executive Bellone. “These trailblazers have inspired others to shatter that invisible glass ceiling and I encourage everyone to participate in this celebration of women’s history."
