Local chamber presidents honored

The 20th annual Brookhaven Chambers of Commerce Coalition awards reception and dinner was held Tuesday night at the Willow Creek Golf and Country Club in Mt. Sinai. The scholarship winner was Kristine Brittelli, a senior from Bellport High School.  The outstanding member of the year for the Brookhaven Chambers of Commerce Coalition was Paul Quinn from Mastic-Shirley Chamber of Commerce.

"Every community is defined by its business community, its chamber of commerce,” said supervisor Ed Romaine. “Not only are you the economic drivers of the town, but you are the people that define the community and help move it forward."

Twenty chambers of commerce throughout the Town of Brookhaven are represented in the coalition, including Patchogue, Medford and Bellport.
