Saluting Jerome Smith of City Sounds Music

Posted

Brookhaven supervisor Ed Romaine (left) recently visited the Mastics-Moriches-Shirley Community Library to honor Jerome “City” Smith (right), musical director and CEO of City Sounds Music. His ensemble is the official house band and music vendor for Atlantis Marine World. Their featured performances at Eisenhower Park include: African-American Night in 2013; 60th Anniversary of the Motown Sound and a Tribute to Michael Jackson in 2009, and the 2006 Summer Concert Series in the park. The supervisor presented Smith with a proclamation honoring him for his community service and declaring Feb. 23 as Elder Jerome Smith Day in the Town of Brookhaven.
