Three William Floyd High School varsity athletic teams recently received the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Scholar-Athlete Team Award for excellence in the classroom during the 2019 winter athletic season. This prestigious award is given to teams with a collective grade point average of 90 or higher for at least 75 percent of the team. The three William Floyd teams are: girls varsity basketball coached by Rich Sinclair, varsity bowling coached by James Healey and competitive cheerleading coached by Alyssa Cabrera. Congratulations to all the student-athletes on this tremendous achievement.
