Students bake and deliver “Cookies for Cops”

The William Floyd Middle School National Junior Honor Society recently completed a service project titled, “Cookies for Cops,” in which they stayed after school to bake and deliver chocolate chip cookies as a way to say thank you to the men and women of the Suffolk County Police Department 7th Precinct who protect and serve our communities on a daily basis.

“The men and women of the Suffolk County Police Department don’t sign up for this job for the recognition, but having members of the community show their appreciation makes the incredibly hard job of being a police officer a little easier,” said Police Commissioner Timothy D. Sini. “Thank you to these students for this heartwarming gesture and for their support of the Suffolk County Police Department.”
