Students participate in “Beautiful Me” project

Recently, fifth-grade girls at Nathaniel Woodhull Elementary School participated in “Beautiful Me,” a program designed to improve self-esteem, which teaches girls to understand who they are, to appreciate their own skills and qualities and to understand that there is gratification in helping others.

Beautiful Me is a free program provided by the Hance Family Foundation in honor of Emma, Alyson and Katie Hance, who died tragically in a car accident in 2009. The Hance Family Foundation honors the lives of three beautiful sisters by ensuring healthy, happy, and safe children through innovative self-esteem educational programming and the support of children in need.
