William Floyd High School Students Raise $1,000 for March of Dimes

On Wednesday, April 30th, the William Floyd Interact Club and Key Club hosted a dinner at Ladakins Restaurant that raised money for the March of Dimes. The March of Dimes is an organization devoted to helping pre-mature babies and their mothers. The Interact Club and Key Club students hosted this fundraiser in honor of Julianna Zach, a local resident who was born premature. March of Dimes helped her survive and now she is an active, joyous 3-year-old.

“We did this fundraiser to give back to March of Dimes,” said William Floyd High School senior Kristie Guerriero.

Julianna is the daughter of Lynda Zach who is a member of the Rotary Club of Shirley and the Mastics and Kiwanis, the subsidiary’s of the Interact and Key Clubs.

Kristie stated, “We will all be attending the March of Dimes Walk on Sunday, May 4th and donating over $1,000 dollars to this charity.”
