All about the love

February is all about the love at Helping Makes U Happy!  Feb. 2, we drew our two winners of our Super Bowl Party Raffle—a fundraiser we love doing because people enjoy it so much!  Normally, this is our scholarship fundraiser, but the communities were so responsive last year that we have all our scholarships covered for this year.  This year’s Super Bowl Party Raffle is for our building fund—most people know that, due to unhealthy conditions which arose at our previous location, we have moved out and are now looking for a new space for our nonprofit organization and all of its volunteers to safely operate out of.  Our requirements are:  approximately 1500 square feet, street level or handicap accessible, or a section of property where we could put a pre-fab building  (with a bathroom) and negotiate a give-back donation in time. Please contact us if you know of/hear of something or want to brainstorm ideas!

In the meantime, the helping goes on! This month, we partner up with Brothers Four Pizza and the Ice Cream Cottage for the ever-popular Family Love Special, which raises money for children battling cancer. The love special consists of a pre-ordered heart-shaped pizza, heart-shaped ice cream cake, and a stuffed bear for Valentine’s Day. A portion of your purchase is donated to Helping Makes U Happy, and we match the donation, and it all goes to St. Jude’s Hospital. So not only is it delicious, it’s heartwarming as well.

We are also continuing to work with students and community members on our toiletry collection for people in need. We appreciate so much your continued help and send you all love!
