Legis. Steven J. Flotteron recognized Amvets Post 76 outgoing commander William DeNatalie at the 46th annual Installation of Officers and Awards Dinner, held at Captain Bill’s restaurant, for his 14 years of service to the post, serving as commander from 2021 to 2023.
DeNatalie has held multiple positions in the post, including first vice commander, second vice commander, canteen chairman and constant volunteer. He is credited with improving and expanding the quality and product line of the canteen, helping the post in multiple projects for veterans, and as a lifelong resident in the Bay Shore community. He is also recognized for his service to the country in the Army in Vietnam.
