Hundreds attended the annual Christmas at Meadow Croft event this year over the Dec. 7 and 8 weekend.
This year’s theme was a “Candy-Coated Christmas,” and the Bayport-Blue Point Heritage Association triumphantly and sweetly carried out the spirit of the decorations.
A whimsical theme, different rooms had candy-inspired decorations filled with macarons, marshmallows, and gingerbread families.
“As soon as the summer tours finish, we get started on setting up for Christmas,” said vice president, Leanne Berg, about the long-treasured tradition in the BBP community, which began with beloved founding member, Gene Horton.
The Roosevelts, who famously owned Meadow Croft as a summer home, spent Christmas in their Manhattan townhouse.
