Over 100 participants joined together for the annual Oakdale Spring Cleanup this Saturday, May 18 at the Oakdale Long Island Rail Road station.
The Oakdale Civic Association, Oakdale Improvement Society, Knights of Columbus, Connetquot Cares Coalition and Save the Great South Bay worked together for the event.
Brian Bast, a past president of the Civic Association, and Jen Fontaine spearheaded the event.
Children from Oakdale Elementary School came with parents and teachers.
