The William Floyd Colonials boys’ varsity basketball team erased a 15-point deficit and defeated Brentwood by a score of 55-54 to complete their undefeated regular season this week.
The Colonials finished with a perfect 20-0 overall record (16-0 in League I) and clinched the first-ever complete undefeated season in William Floyd history! (1997 boys’ varsity basketball went undefeated in league play)
The Suffolk County playoffs will begin late next week with the Colonials playing at home. Congratulations to the student-athletes, head coach Will Slinkosky, and assistant coaches Thomas Stines and Darrell Sumpter on an amazing season, and best of luck in the playoffs.
