Congratulations to the Central Islip top two

The Central Islip Board of Education, administration, faculty and staff congratulate the members of Central Islip High School’s Class of 2024 and valedictorian Gianluca Pillaga and salutatorian Leslie Bonilla.

Valedictorian Gianluca Pillaga will attend SUNY Stony Brook this fall, where he will major in civil engineering in preparation for a career in the infrastructure industry. Gianluca is an avid member of the Student Action Committee, where he joins his peers to volunteer organizing a multitude of activities designed for the betterment of the school and local community.

Salutatorian Leslie Bonilla will also attend SUNY Stony Brook after graduating high school where she will major in mathematics. Her career goal is to become a high school mathematics teacher. Leslie is a catechism teacher, and she is a member of Central Islip High School’s Peer Leadership Club, where she volunteers coordinating school-related events such as Safe Halloween and a wide array of after school activities.
