Tickets are $25 each or 5 for $100, available at PatchogueCemetery.org, or visit Friends of Lakeview at Alive After Five. Volunteers will be at The Patchogue Chamber of Commerce booth by the Four Corners - July 2, 16, 30, Aug. 13, and Aug. 20 (rain date). Drawing is Aug. 20; the winner will be notified and does not need to be present to win.
WEEKLY VOLUNTEER WORK SESSIONS
Volunteers are working to gently clean historic headstones using a gentle biological solution and techniques that clean the stones without damaging them. These sessions are every Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. – noon, weather permitting. Volunteers are welcome to learn these methods and help us with hundreds of headstones that need to be done.

ABOUT FRIENDS OF LAKEVIEW
Dating to the 1700s, the property at West Main Street ad Waverly Avenue holds five cemeteries, including graves of local citizens and veterans from the Revolutionary War to Vietnam. The gated iconic entrance on Main St. leads to the Lakeview and Rice cemeteries, owned by St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. The western “Waverly Cemetery” includes the Gerard, Old Episcopal, and Union cemeteries, which are legally abandoned and maintained by the Town of Brookhaven and volunteers. In the 1990s, volunteers began working to restore an overgrown property that was barely recognizable as a cemetery and in 2006, Friends of Lakeview Cemeteries became a committee of the Greater Patchogue Foundation, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization
