On Saturday, June 7, State Sen. Alexis Weik (R-District 8) held a food drive at the West Islip Stop and Shop.
Community members generously donated four heaping cartfuls of pantry items to benefit Our Lady of Lourdes, a Catholic parish in West Islip.
“A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to yesterday’s food drive! Because of your generosity, we gathered an incredible amount of food that will go a long way in supporting families in our community,” said Weik.
