Harvest Moon Dinner and Fundraiser

There is something distinctly enchanting about a farm-to-table dinner experience, especially when hosted at the Bellport-Brookhaven Historical Society (BBHS). Copper Beach of Bellport skillfully catered this year’s Harvest Moon Dinner and fundraiser.

The historic Barn Museum at BBHS, with its timeless charm, served as a captivating backdrop for friends to gather and savor a delectable meal crafted from ingredients sourced from local farmers. Guests enjoyed a candlelit evening filled with camaraderie, abundant cuisine, and a spirit of generosity to show their support of Bellport’s cherished historic compound and museum complex.

The Honorable Peter Fox Cohalan, Suffolk County historian and Robert David Lion Gardiner Foundation trustee, addressed an audience of nearly 100. He shared insights about his family heritage, which dates back to 1777 and the American Revolution, and his dedication to preserving Suffolk County’s history.

The Robert David Lion Gardiner Foundation will generously match proceeds from the Long Table dinner as BBHS endeavors to meet its $10,000 Challenge Match Grant. BBHS expresses heartfelt gratitude for the continued support of our mission.
