More than 1,000 people attended the Town of Islip’s annual holiday Christmas Tree Lighting and Chamber of Commerce Parade on Main Street this year, which included the new Holiday Market. A representative for the town called the attendance numbers “record-breaking.” Craft vendors, fire pits, s’mores and more kicked off the holiday tradition at 12 noon adjacent to Islip Town Hall, followed by the Islip Chamber of Commerce Parade along Main Street and the Christmas tree lighting.
