The Bay Shore-based prestigious “academy” and “performing company” is a 30-year-old institution founded as a not-for-profit organization with the mission to promote the appreciation of classical ballet, provide professional instruction and high-quality performances to the public.
Under the teaching and mentorship of Svetlana Caton and Venti Petrov, young people get on a path of disciplined hard work and performance that ultimately inspires them to be successful throughout their lives.
Starting with “fun and games” at the age of 4, they explore the wonderful world of classical music and harmonious movement. Generally, at the age of 7, formal training is introduced, and the dancers follow the graded ballet curriculum from the beginner to advanced levels.
While ballet enriches the dancer’s personal growth and well-being, its timeless and harmonious purpose serves as a powerful bridge to deeper awareness and compassion for others, opening one’s eyes to the interconnected beauty of the world beyond oneself.
