The Town of Islip hosted a Health Fair at the Caesar Trunzo Senior Center. Numerous agencies throughout the town participated, including Catholic Health, which provided flu shots and various health screenings. In attendance were Suffolk County Office for the Aging; Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office; PSEG; National Grid; Alzheimer organizations; elder law attorneys; representatives from assisted living facilities; physical therapists’ offices and more. “By hosting these types of events, we are providing an opportunity for residents to gather important information and resources that enable them to make educated decisions about their health care needs, and thus live healthy, active, longer and more productive lives,” said Islip Town supervisor, Angie Carpenter.
