JVC Broadcasting to hold annual food drive

With Thanksgiving approaching, JVC Broadcasting and its roster of six radio stations will once again host their annual food drive to support the Town of Brookhaven Youth Bureau’s INTERFACE Thanksgiving Food Drive.

This event will take place on Saturday, Nov. 8 and Sunday, Nov. 9, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at two locations:

• Gala Foods, 1759 Middle Country Road, Unit 1, Centereach,
• Super Walmart, Boulevard Shopping Center, 901 Boulevard East, Yaphank.

All six JVC Broadcasting radio stations—Party 105.3, La Fiesta 98.5, En Vivo 1440 AM/93.3 FM, My Country 96.1, LINewsRadio 103.9 and Big 98.1—will collect nonperishable food donations throughout the weekend. In past years, JVC Broadcasting has been very successful in raising donations and looks forward to continuing this tradition.

Suggested Donations:

All nonperishables, including, but not limited to canned soups, canned cranberry sauce, turkey gravy, stuffing mix, instant potatoes, canned sweet or white potatoes, rice, canned vegetables, jar or canned sauce, macaroni, canned fruit, pudding, jello, cookie mix and icing and juice. Also, $10 gift cards to local supermarkets are accepted so families can purchase a frozen turkey to complement their Thanksgiving meal.
