Library and H.O.G Farm host children’s authors

Brookhaven Village Association, Brookhaven Library and H.O.G Farm hosted the authors of the children’s book, “Hugo and the Impossible Thing,” for a reading. Authors Renee Felice Smith and Chris Gabriel read to the audience of all ages and species, as dogs were welcome to learn from Hugo’s challenges. The kids got to meet the authors after for a book signing and ask questions. One child in particular asked thoughtful questions about the writer’s process, as she planned on writing non-fiction herself. It was a sweet evening made sweeter by the generous donations of attendees to the Brookhaven Animal Shelter. The BVA successfully collected towels, sheets, and blankets for the shelter.
