The Patchogue Medford School District will be hosting their graduation ceremony at Raider Stadium on Thursday, June 26.
Meet Patchogue-Medford High School’s 2025 top three:
Valedictorian: Gaurab Biswas
College: Stony Brook University
Area of study: Biochemistry
GPA: 105.25 - weighted
Hometown: Patchogue
Activities: Co-president, General Organization; president, Key Club; president, Math Team; historian, Class of 2025; treasurer, National Honor Society; Patchogue-Medford Hall of Fame Ambassador; and president, National English Honor Society.
ADVICE FOR HIS GRADUATING CLASS:
“My best advice for any classmates or future graduates would be to work as hard as you can, and when you think you have reached your limit, push it just a tiny bit more. I am a firm believer that working hard is the key ingredient to success. If you want something, work tirelessly to achieve it, and when you are faced with adversity, work even harder to overcome it. Overall, true success will never be achieved without hard work. It is as Vince Lombardi says: ‘The dictionary is the only place that success comes before work.’” -Gaurab Biswas
Salutatorian: Issac Varghese
College: Stony Brook University
Area of study: Biology
GPA: 103.87 - weighted
Hometown: Patchogue
Activities: President, Science Olympiad; vice president, FIRST Robotics Team 329; vice president, Math Team; vice president of Interact Club; and varsity badminton.
ADVICE FOR HIS GRADUATING CLASS:
“If I were to give a piece of advice to other students, I would tell them to remember that whenever you feel low, know that the only place you can go from rock bottom is up.” -Issac Varghese
Essayist: Aaron Diamond
College: Worcester Poly Technical Institute
Area of study: Bio-Medical Engineering
GPA: 103.47 - weighted
Hometown: Medford
Activities: President, Red Cross Club; secretary, Team 329 FIRST Robotics; executive board member, National Honor Society; STEM Honor Society; and French Honor Society.
ADVICE FOR HIS GRADUATING CLASS:
“Do not feel like you have to conquer it all. Sometimes, it’s okay to acknowledge that you are working too hard and it isn’t healthy for you. You have nothing to prove to anyone—don’t feel like you have to take on more than you can reasonably handle.” -Aaron Diamond
