Peconic Bay Medical Center hosts COVID vax site at William Floyd High School

Posted

Peconic Bay Medical Center (PBMC) recently announced it will partner with the William Floyd School District to host a vaccination clinic this month. Pfizer vaccines will be available by appointment and walk-ins to local community members ages 12 and up at a temporary vaccination pod on Saturday, July 31, at William Floyd High School.

Peconic Bay Medical Center hopes to help keep the community safe as the new school year approaches this fall by offering 250 free COVID-19 vaccines during the clinic.

“We're grateful to the William Floyd School District for allowing us this opportunity to offer vaccinations to the community before the beginning of the school year,” said Amy E. Loeb, EdD, MBA, RN, executive director of PBMC. “Additionally, we're providing this service to help strengthen the impact the vaccine has had on keeping our positive-case rates low.”
The second dose will be administered on August 21. For more information or to sign up, please visit https://northwellvaccine.force.com/s/?id=a1T4x000007TrrBEAS.
