Winners of the Town of Islip Pool Safety Poster Contest were recognized by town officials recently for their creativity. The participating students are all part of the town’s popular After-School Program. Joining proud parents, student artists and Recreation Center staff were Islip Town supervisor Angie Carpenter; Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs commissioner Tom Owens, and deputy commissioner, Dierdre Wahlberg.

Bohemia After School Program:

Amy Diaz – second place in age 9-12 category

Mackenzie Kiley  – third place in age 5-8 category

Ronkonkoma After School
Program:

Sofia Blanc – first place in age 5-8 category

Addyson Reyes – first place in age 9-12 category

Joziah Stallworth – third place in age 9-12 category

Brentwood After School
Program:

Emily Forrester – second place in age 5-8 category
