Looking for activities to ring in the New Year? Every town, from Patchogue to Oakdale, has you covered.

Patchogue

Midnight on Main

The event will start at 7 p.m. on Main Street in Patchogue and will feature a ball drop and fireworks beginning at 9 p.m. The New Year’s celebration is safe for families since it is alcohol-free. There will also be a DJ and vendors selling warm beverages.

The Holiday Spectacular on Ice

Gateway’s newest showstopper is set to be hosted by two-time Olympic figure skater, Nancy Kerrigan. The show will feature figure skating, singing and dancing. Ticket prices range from $29.50 to $89 and the show’s run is from December 17 to January 1. Masks are required for guests inside the lobby and theater for the whole performance. Guests 12 and above are also required to show proof of full vaccination.

Rhum Punch Brunch

Celebrate 2022 with brunch at Rhum in Patchogue; the menu ranges from avocado toast to short rib tostada. As per state policy, masks are required in the restaurant.

The Garden Farmers’ Market of Patchogue

This New Year, support the 25 different local vendors at the Garden Farmers’ Market and craft fair open Saturdays and Sundays 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in Patchogue.

Stereo Garden New Year’s Eve Party

Starting at 8 p.m. on Dec. 31 and ending around 1 a.m. Jan. 1, Stereo Garden in Patchogue will be the site of a New Year’s Eve party featuring ‘80s tribute band Rubix Kube. The night will include a buffet and champagne toast at midnight. General admission is $45 (tickets available on eventbrite.com).

New Year’s Day Vision Board Brunch & Bubbly

Would it really be New Year’s without resolutions? Between noon and 4 p.m. on Jan. 1 at JLR Studio 5 on 5th Avenue in Bay Shore, She Moves Life, a membership community for women “who want to reach their greatest potential,” presents a self-actualizing “Vision Board” brunch.

New Year’s Eve after-hours at T.J. Finley’s

Set for Jan. 1 from 4 to 8 a.m., T.J. Finley’s after-hours in Bay Shore is not for the faint of heart. At this post-New Year’s party, there will be a cash bar and a free breakfast. Visit T.J. Finley’s at 42 E. Main St. in Bay Shore to “party till the sun comes up!”

East Islip

DIY New Year’s Eve Craft

Ages 3 and up, on Dec. 30 at 9 a.m. at East Islip Public Library.

Happy Noon Year on Dec. 30 at 11:30 a.m. at East Islip Public Library.

Kids in grades K-3 can create a time capsule to open in 2023 and discuss their resolutions. As per the name, they will count down to the stroke of noon to welcome 2022. According to library policy, masks must be worn by all visitors ages 2 and above.

Ring in the New Year with Half Step

The band Half Step will be playing three full sets of music on Friday, Dec. 31 at 8 p.m. at the Bayway Arts Center, 265 E. Main St., East Islip. To buy tickets visit the Bayway Arts Center website.

Oakdale

Wining and Dining:

Ring in the New Year at View

View, a waterfront destination overlooking the Great South Bay in Oakdale, will be hosting a special dinner Friday, Dec. 31 from 4 p.m.-6 p.m.to ring in the New Year. The dinner will be a three-course, prix fixe meal. The cost is $75 per person plus tax and gratuity. After 6:15 p.m. the event will continue at a rate of $95 per person plus tax and gratuity. Guests can join in a champagne toast, and enjoy some dessert (plus party favors). To request a reservation, call the restaurant at 631-589-2694. Diners must wear masks unless eating or drinking.

New Year’s Day Brunch at View

If visiting the View on New Year’s Eve is not your preference, there is also the option of a New Year’s Brunch Celebration. From 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the View will be hosting a special champagne brunch, where guests can eat while enjoying a view overlooking the Great South Bay.

The Wharf

This popular restaurant in Oakdale will be hosting its own New Year’s celebration. The cost of admission is $75, and the event will begin at 10 p.m. Dec. 31, at 445 Vanderbilt Boulevard in Oakdale.

New Year’s Laughing Eve

CM Performing Arts Center in Oakdale will feature David Weiss, John Santo, and Bill McCarty for a night of laughs. The show starts at 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 31, and admission is $40. The theater requires masks for all patrons regardless of vaccination status, and at this time, does not require proof of vaccination. Sayville

The Sayville VFW, Bill & Lyndy

Want to celebrate 2022 with a party while also raising money for veterans? At the Sayville VFW Post 433 (400 Lakeland Ave. Sayville, NY), you can do both. The party is country-themed and will involve “hats, noisemakers, light snacks, coffee, tea, dessert and a champagne toast at midnight.” You must be 16 years or older to attend. The party starts at 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 31 and is slated to end at 1 a.m. on Jan. 1. The price of admission is $50 per person and will go towards the Sayville Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Bohemia

Comedy Show

Comedian Bob Levy, also known as the Reverend, is coming to Bohemia for a special New Year’s Eve event at McGuire’s comedy club. There are two possible showings, one at 7 p.m. and one at 10:15 p.m. The 10:15 show will be full of noisemakers, champagne toasts and party hats. To buy tickets visit McGuire’s website.

Bayport

Start the New Year off on a good note by supporting local business at the South Shore Farmers’ Market. Thirty local food vendors will be setting up shop at Bayport Flower Houses (940 Montauk Highway in Bayport, NY) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Bellport

The Bellport Country Club’s New Year’s Eve Gala has arrived! It will be held on Friday, Dec. 31 from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. at Bellport Country Club at 40 South Country Road, Bellport. The cost of admission is $135 and reservations are required. To make a reservation call, 631-286-4227.

Mastics & Shirley

The Mastic-Moriches-Shirley Community Library is giving kids the opportunity to celebrate the New Year, in Room A B C. Children grades K-6 are invited to a special celebration of Noon Year’s Eve, from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Dec. 30. Registration for the event begins on Dec. 23 at 9 a.m. If you register, make sure to arrive on time, as spots are coveted and first come, first served for those on the waiting list. Visit the library’s website to register. As always, masks are required in the library for unvaccinated patrons.
