Santa Claus is coming to town!

A heartfelt Christmas tradition, Santa Claus will be teaming up with local fire departments to ride through our neighborhoods in style—on the top of a firetruck— and say hello to all the good boys and girls! See the dates and times below to make sure you do not miss the special visit.

East Islip

On Sunday, Dec. 1, you may have already been visited by our jolly friend from the North Pole riding with the East Islip Fire Department. On Dec. 15, starting at 10 a.m., Santa will reunite with the East Islip Fire Department to visit the remaining streets. 

Islip

Santa Claus will join the Islip Fire Department and ride through town on Dec. 14 and 21.

On the 14th, Santa will ride through the neighborhoods off Commack ride north of Sunrise from 12 to 2 p.m.; take pictures at Commack Road Elementary School from 2 to 2:20 p.m.; drive through the neighborhoods off Saxon Avenue, north of Sunrise, from 3 to 5 p.m., and take pictures at Chicago Park from 5 to 5:20 p.m.

On Saturday. Dec. 21, Santa will cruise through neighborhoods between Main Street and Sunrise Highway between 12 and 2 p.m.; stop for pictures at Town Hall from 2 to 2:20 p.m., visit neighborhoods south of Main Street from 3 to 5 p.m., and stop for photos at Sherwood Elementary School from 5 to 5:20 p.m.

West Islip

On Dec. 15, Santa Claus will bring Christmas cheer to West Islip while riding through each neighborhood. The tentative schedule is as follows:

  • 9:20 a.m. - 1st Street and Myrtle Avenue
  • 9:50 a.m. - Oackneck Lane and True Harbor Way
  • 10 a.m. - Fairfax Avenue and Webster Avenue
  • 10:10 a.m. - Pace Drive South and Old Pond Court
  • 10:15 a.m. - Cadman Avenue, Douglas Avenue and the Oquenock School Parking Lot
  • 10:30 a.m. - Harvest Lane, Lamoka Place, Sylvia Drive, Dorothy Road, Snedecor Avenue and Mariner Circle.
  • 11 a.m. - West fourth Street, Spruce Avenue, Sears Road, Alice Road, Bay 5th Street and Center Bay Drive.
  • 11:20 a.m. - Alinda Avenue and Cherry Court
  • 11:30 a.m. - Paprocki Avenue and Chestnut Street
  • 11:45 a.m. Dunwoodie Avenue, North Monroe Avenue, Minerva Avenue and Celia Street
  • 12 p.m. - Washington Avenue, Morris Avenue, Sandra Avenue and Stanley Street.
  • 12:15 p.m. - Namdac Avenue, Babe Ruth Street, Dogwood Road and Edelweiss Road
  • 12:50 p.m. - Phyllis Place and Ace Court
  • 1 p.m. - Higbie Avenue and Clyde Street
  • 1:15 p.m. - Highland Avenue, Sunet Place, Wagstaff Lane and Talulah Lane
  • 1:20 p.m. - Udalia Road and Barnard Street
  • 1:30 p.m. - Sequams Lane North and Sequams Lane
  • 1:40 p.m. - Barberry Road and Larkspur Drive
  • 1:45 p.m. - Beatrice Avenue and Rockaway Street
  • 2 p.m. - Alwick Avenue, Edmore Lane, George Street, Parkwood Road, Bellmore Street and Ocean Avenue
  • 2:15 p.m. - Everdell Avenue, Burling Lane, Milligan Lane and McElroy Street
  • 2:30 p.m. - Pease Lane and Merritt Street
  • 2:45 p.m. - Tanglewood Road and McElroy Street
  • 3 p.m. - Hyman Avenue and Muncey Road
  • 3:15 p.m. - Pease Lane, Butler Street, Gridley Street nd Altmar Avenue
  • 3:30 p.m. Reilly Street and Haynes Avenue
  • 3:45 p.m. Gladstone Avenue and 7th Street

Bay Shore

Bay Shore Fire Department Santa Runs will take place on Saturday, Dec. 20, commencing at 9 a.m. Santa’s friend at the fire department asks that you please refrain from calling the firehouse to see where Santa is. Instead, listen for the sirens, as Santa and the Bay Shore Fire Department will pass every house in their response area!
