East Islip High School senior Chelsea Dodenhoff signed a national letter of intent on Jan. 10 to play lacrosse for SUNY Oneonta, where she plans to major in psychology.
Dodenhoff, a four-year scholar-athlete who plays attack, is a starter for the Long Island Empire travel lacrosse team. As a goalie for three years on East Islip’s varsity field hockey team, she serves as co-captain, earned All-County and All-County Honorable Mention accolades, and was named to Newsday’s Top 50 Field Hockey Players to Watch.
Dodenhoff also is a three-year member of East Islip’s varsity winter track team. In academics, she is a member of the school’s Art Honor Society and Foreign Language Honor Society.
