On Sunday, July 21 from 4 to 9 p.m., the Christopher A. Coluccio Foundation will be hosting a youth, 3-v-3 basketball tournament at Billy’s Park in Blue Point.

In collaboration with councilman Neil Foley’s (R-5th District) office and the Town of Brookhaven, 3rd through 12th graders are invited for a “fun and competitive” event, according to foundation organizers.

“This event will be a wonderful opportunity for the community to gather for some friendly competition and is being hosted by a charity dedicated to the wellness of our youth,” said Foley.

Teams will need a minimum of three players with the option for a fourth. All players on a team must play.

In addition, there will be food and music at the event.

The mission of the Christopher A. Coluccio Foundation is to celebrate and memorialize Christopher’s spirit, serve and educate our community, support those struggling with mental health, depression and thoughts of suicide, open lines of communication between parents and children about mental health, depression and suicide.
