On April 4, Brookhaven Town supervisor Dan Panico (center, left) and deputy supervisor/councilman Neil Foley (center, right) stopped by Corey Beach in Blue Point to thank members of the St. Joseph’s University Golden Eagles baseball team for their beach cleanup efforts. The 40 team members who participated on a crisp, spring day were armed with rubber gloves, trash pickers, garbage pails, and encouragement from the Brookhaven Town officials. The teammates walked the entire beach to pick up litter, leaving it clean and trash free.
The St. Joseph’s University Golden Eagles baseball team is a member of the Division III level of the National College Athletic Association (NCAA) primarily competing in the Skyline Conference since the 1999–2000 academic year.
Spring is the perfect time to make a difference in our community. Go to Brookhavenny.gov to register for the townwide Great Brookhaven Cleanup on May 17.
