Town clerk brings mobile office tour to the library

Brookhaven town clerk Kevin LaValle brought his Mobile Office to the Patchogue-Medford Library in November. The Mobile Office program makes it convenient for residents to connect with the town clerk, get their questions answered and receive important information about the Town of Brookhaven. The clerk’s office, which is often considered the center of town government, provides services that include birth, marriage and death certificates, parking permits for persons with disabilities, amusement permits, special event permits and much more. Due to privacy laws, passes, licenses and certificates are not issued during the town clerk’s Mobile Office hours, but he can assist residents to get the process started. Pictured, both left and right is Lavalle (in red sweater) speaking with residents at the library.

The Patchogue Medford Library was the ninth and final stop on the town clerk’s 2024 Library Tour which had him also visiting Sachem, Center Moriches, Comsewogue, Middle Country, South Country, Mastic/Shirley, Longwood, and Emma S. Clark Public Libraries. The Town Clerk’s 2025 Library Tour will kick off on Tuesday, Jan. 21 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Port Jefferson Free Library, located at 100 Thompson Street in Port Jefferson Village.
