Sayville Post 433 Veterans of Foreign Wars attended the Sayville Scouting America Troop 184 Eagle Court of honor to congratulate two new Eagle Scouts, the highest rank in scouting. Both scouts spent seven years of effort in earning merit badges and excelling in scouting and community service to earn this great accomplishment.
Jack Southworth achieved the Eagle Scout rank after completing his Eagle Scout Service Project, building and installing an archway and bench near the entrance and trailing Brookside County Park in Sayville.
Carson Loughlin achieved the Eagle Scout rank after completing his Eagle Scout Service Project, the revitalization and update of the playground at New Life Community Church on Lakeland Avenue. Loughlin replaced all of the support beams on the swing sets, making everything safe and fun for the children and families in his community.
The Sayville VFW Post 433 congratulates Jack and Carson and wishes them the best for their futures.
