William Floyd Colonials defeat Sachem East, lose in semifinals

The No. 1-ranked William Floyd Colonials displayed their dominance as they defeated Sachem East by a score of 45-8 in the quarterfinals of the Suffolk County Division I playoffs. This victory has propelled them to the semifinals on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 1 p.m., as the Colonials host No. 4 Ward Melville at the Lincoln Avenue Sports Complex. The Colonials met Ward Melville during week six (homecoming) and defeated them 38-0.

At the championship game they lost in the second round to Ward Melville by a score of 14-7. An unexpected finish to the season for William Floyd, but that does not take away from the great season the Colonials had.
