This year brings promises of a spring packed with Easter happenings.

Below is a compiled list of some of the local events this spring.

Bunny Run and Easter Egg Hunt, Patchogue Village

The Village of Patchogue Parks & Recreation Department will be hosting their 24th annual Bunny Run and Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 30, at Father Tortora Park. Ages 4-6 will start at noon and ages 7-9 will start at 12:30 p.m. Be sure to bring your own egg basket; the outdoor event is free. There will also be raffles, a jelly bean count, pictures with the Easter bunny, and goodie bags for the first 50 children in each age group. The event will be cancelled due to rain. Easter Bonnet and Crazy Hat parade, Bellport Village

The favorite event, sponsored by the Bellport Chamber of Commerce, is back! It is scheduled for Saturday, March 30, at the Bellport Firehouse, ending at the village gazebo. Gather at 11:30 a.m.; parade starts promptly at noon. All ages are encouraged to join and create a colorful hat or bonnet. Awards will be given for the best crazy hat in age groups, and pets will also be considered! This is a fun, feel-good event to welcome spring. 

Pancake breakfast, Patchogue-Medford Youth and Community Services

Join the Patchogue-Medford Youth and Community Services for a pancake breakfast hosted at the Patchogue Fire House at 15 Jennings Avenue in Patchogue. The event will take place on Saturday, March 30, with two seatings from 8 to 9:30 a.m. and 10 to 11:30 a.m.  Kids under 5 eat free. There will be food, activities, fire truck tours, and all the proceeds will support PMYCS. For tickets contact PMYCS at 631-758-4100.

Brookhaven Village Association Egg Hunt

The BVA will be hosting their egg hunt on Saturday, March 30, at 11 a.m. at H.O.G. Farm on Beaver Dam Road. All ages are welcome. Food item donations are encouraged; all items collected will go to Mary Immaculate Food Pantry.

Mastic Beach Fire Department’s Easter Bunny Breakfast

The event will take place at the Mastic Beach Fire Department on Neighborhood Road at 8 a.m. to noon on Sunday, March 24. Adults are $7 and children and seniors are $4.
