Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are investigating a shooting that injured a man in Central Islip on Thursday January 28 police said in a statement.
Following an altercation, a man was shot in front of 81 Lexington Avenue at approximately 10:10 p.m. police said. The victim was transported in a private vehicle to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Third Squad at 631-854-8352 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
